Sketchup to Cryengine

First steps of putting the boatshed into Cryengine. It's too small :(

Drawing on windows

Experimenting with drawing on a surface not normally intended to be drawn on. (Fun fact, drew it backwards on my window so it could be seen from the outside 7th floor walkway)

Red Robin

Nothing to do with the boat shed per se, more just an experiment of the use of patterns on a different subject matter.

The Boat Shed, your new music venue.

Picture "The Boat Shed"...you're premiere music venue. A small place with a really good vibe and a cool place to have music. Viewers can crowd atop the new roof which folds out as a spectator area, as well as on a floating moshpit/seated area (depending on the act). The shed is fully equipped with built in amps and jacks for instruments and pedals, as well as a basic drum kit and drum kit grid, so that drummers can easily swap drums and symbols in and out whilst not having to worry about micing up the kit. The design is very pattern heavy because it is.

Illustrations

Good ol' random character illustrations. Lovin' hoods at the mo. First is messing round with the idea of incorporating patterns in every aspect of the character (even the shrouded face). Second is to try different posing and material properties/how to represent them.

Mihi Mihi

I was born on the island Papeete in Tahiti, French Polynesia. From there my sister and I grew up in various different places, moving from there to Wellington, to Auckland, back to Tahiti and most recently sunny Hawke's Bay. Now I return to the wind-struck city of Wellington to continue my journey.

I have been fortunate in my childhood to have traveled to various different locations across the globe, namely some of the fine locations in the USA (Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, New Orleans), as well as France, Holland, and England on the European side of things. Also as you can imagine I've traveled to the various islands that French Polynesia and the wider Pacific has to offer.

Artistically I'm incredibly influenced by the works of Weta located right here in Wellington, and my comfort zone is based in a somewhat typical fantasy world. However I'm always keen to branch out and try new things. I love Polynesian patterns and Tikis but also am also incredibly fond of modern, up to date and forward thinking design. Also having lived in Hawke's Bay the odd Art Deco influence has popped into a few of my works.
A big passion and influence of mine has been music since I've been a child. This is with (many) thanks to my Dad, who introduced me to the likes of The Police, Split Enz and Steely Dan (among many others). Since then I have developed my own taste and style in terms of music, taking up the drums in 2007 and having played in various bands in Hawkes Bay. I am most musically influenced by the likes of Foster the People, Two Door Cinema Club and Electric Guest, but still retain a respect and love for the golden oldies that my Dad introduced me to.
